As a writer, Gabriel has been commissioned and hired on several projects, ranging from the 30-minute short film 'Maggie Fincher' for UK-based St. Catherine Productions Ltd., to such features as comedy crime-caper 'The October Gang' and wartime coming-of-age love story, Anne Frank & Me, both produced by Jerry Leider. They have co-written the story for the 5-Season TV series, 'Sabela Gold'', with Louverture Films (Joslyn Barnes & Danny Glover) spearheading development, and Gabriel's original screenplay, 'Here To Stay', an interracial first-love coming-of-age story set in small town America, was a semifinalist in the 5th Annual Screencraft Screenwriting Fellowship, Final Draft's Big Break Contest, and the Atlanta Film Festival Screenplay Competition. Gabriel's political thriller pilot, Close to the Bone, placed them in the top 25 finalists for the CBS Writers Mentoring Program.
Gabriel’s most recent work as an actor was in Nikolaj Arcel's 'The Dark Tower', adapted from Stephen King's magnum opus and starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey. Gabriel has also played a variety of lead and supporting roles in a myriad of award-winning theater productions, short films, music videos, and commercials. And in 2017, Gabriel produced their first indie feature, 'Hold Fast, Good Luck', starring Olivia Hamilton ('La La Land', 'Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far On Foot'), which is currently in its final stages of post-production.
